New material from Lady GaGa!! Woots! But reps from some sources stated that this leak is a fake and the first single from “Born This Way” is the title track itself, to be release on 13 Feb 2011!

IMO, it’s pretty much legit and of GaGa’s style. Probably fits in the “BTW” era, but it doesn’t sound like a single or an album-worthy material (more of a filler, considering high standards). More of a B-side, this track’s definitely a grower (a sleeper hit maybe) and it’s uber addictive. LOVING the tribal beats! I must say it’s better than Brit-crap’s first single! =P

With all the hoo haa on Lady GaGa’s latest video, Alejandro” , the director of the clip Steven Klein decided to come forward to not only defend the criticism, but also to explain it to those who were left scratching their heads after watching the video…

“The religious symbolism is not meant to denote anything negative, but represents the character’s battle between the dark forces of this world and the spiritual salvation of the Soul,” Klein explained. “Thus at the end of the film, she chooses to be a nun, and the reason her mouth and eyes disappear is because she is withdrawing her senses from the world of evil and going inward towards prayer and contemplation.”

Klein added that the scene in which Gaga ingests the rosary beads is meant to represent “the desire to take in the holy.”

Finally, after a long wait, the premiere of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro MV. As usual, it’s another epic dramatic and cinematic music video from Gaga. She sure knows how to push boundaries and doesn’t makes it too sleazy and trashy (well, artistically). Loving the dance sequence too.

One thing’s for sure, it does feel like a few of Madonna’s past vids mashed into one. Express Yourself meets Like a Prayer meets Vogue. Not a direct interpretation, but the hint of similarity is obvious. See for yourself. Overall, I think it’s rather good. =)

With Christina Aguilera’s Bionic releasing in a few weeks, there more hype and press around Christina Aguilera. More bad than good. In a recent interview with OUT Magazine, Christina Aguilera was asked about the biggest question of all – Lady GaGa.

She responded:

“Oh the newcomer?” Aguilera chuckles. “I think she is really fun to look at.” Nevertheless, Aguilera has come under fire for aping GaGa’s style and the criticisms have irked her. In 2008, when asked by the Los Angeles Times about the comparison, Aguilera denied all knowledge of GaGa’s existence. “I’m a little under a rock where some things are concerned,” she said then and says again now.

GaGa writes hooks with nursery rhyme simplicity, easy to hum and hard to forget. Aguilera forgoes hooks for vocal virtuosity, though she admits, “it’s a little more off putting to the general public, because it’s not easy to sing along to”.

GaGa IS her art, she [Lady GaGa] claims. Aguilera says, “I used to think, my art is me, and it’s just not like that. You can’t be that egotistical”.

And after that interview cam out, GaGa fans like Perez Hilton went berserk and dissing Xtina up and down. The last 48 hours after the interview came out, things went very south on Christina.

Then she had to do damage control and posted an official statement on her official site

Dear Fans,

I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.

There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.

This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.

There are a lot of Lady GaGa – Christina Aguilera comparison in the air and it got worst when Akon said Christina total jacked GaGa’s style in a recent interview.

And now the Dirrty singer put it all to rest! In a recent radio interview, Christina was asked bout her copying Lady GaGa and she has this to say:

“It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I’ve been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself. Hahaha”

“I were younger, I would have been engaged, been a little upset. But now? There’s a bigger picture out there. I’ve got my son, my family, my work.”

Ever since Christina Aguilera came to the music scene she has been compared to so many acts in the industry – Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, to name a few. And the latest one is Lady GaGa. It all happened when she debuted her new bangs for her Keeps Gettin’ Better performance at the MTV Music Video Awards. And the comparisons began!

But songwriter Claude Kelly, who wrote four songs for Christina’s upcoming album, Bionic has something to say about it.

“That’s crap to me…it’s really bullshit,” Kelly tells VIBE. “Christina Aguilera has been around for over 10 years now. As far as pop goes, she is the defining voice of today’s music. She can do things with her voice that I haven’t heard anybody else do. She’s constantly reinventing herself. As fans, as soon as an album is done and an artist disappears for a while, we tend to write them off as over or no longer relevant.”

Kelly continues: “In the time that she has been gone, Gaga, who I know pretty well, has had an unbelievable run. Christina has an album that’s going to slap people in the face. The music still has her signature, big note vocals and emotions, but the sound is definitely more aggressive, more futuristic than the last album.”

When pressed about how Aguilera intends on proving the naysayers wrong, Kelly points to his work on Bionic.

“I wrote this crazy ass song with Tricky Stewart called ‘Glam,’” he says. “It’s a hard club song that’s about high fashion. It’s really for the ladies about getting dressed and looking your best, working it in the club and getting glam and sexy before you go out. Christina wants to talk about getting sexy and independent, but being strong at the same time. It will surprise people. I’m calling it a modern day ‘Vogue.’ I wouldn’t say it unless I believed it.”

Lady GaGa is currently on tour and she made a pit stop in Australia a few days ago. In a radio interview, the “Bad Romance” hitmaker talks about her third album!

“I’m really excited about my third album. I’m really really excited. Well, I’m working on it now and I’ve already written kind of the core of it, so I’m just kind of continuing to travel around the world and just make something great. It’s certainly my best work to date.”

She went on to talk bout her 30 foot statue shrine!

“I actually built a 30 foot statue of myself… It’s beautiful and it actually is a statue of myself with a piano growing out of my stomach, and the piano works so I have to be flown in the air, suspended to play it…”

OH GAGA! She really can get away with it right? If anybody else say their doing it, we probably think they are full with themselves!

There has been word going around about Lady Gaga’s gay related video Telephone, in which she and Beyonce are lesbian partners. She talks about her point of view.

Lady Gaga says being gay is not a choice.

The 23-year-old singer, who has previously discussed her own bisexuality at length, believes homosexual men and women are “born” that way. Gaga – who claims her new video ‘Telephone’ is “groundbreaking” because she showcases lots of different types of sexuality in the nine-minute promo – said: “There are transsexual women and transgender women and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people in this world that believe being gay is a choice. It’s not a choice, we’re born this way.

“That’s why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world.” The ‘Paparazzi’ singer stars in the video with Beyonce Knowles – who also lends her vocals to the track – and prior to recording Gaga promised Beyonce it would be a classic.

She added in an interview 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show: “I told Beyonce this after it aired, you’ll see this video is not just great now but six months from now what this video will mean.

“Hearing people say the video is sadomasochistic or that the video promotes murder for young people, it’s my personal belief that the video is getting so much attention, not because of those themes because I’ve done those themes before, haven’t I?

“I’ve done those themes in many of my videos but it’s because it’s with Beyonce and it’s because there are so many homosexual themes.” In the video Gaga kisses a female prison warden, is broken out of jail by Beyonce, kills someone and makes a poisoned sandwich for a group of truckers.
In the past the eccentric pop star has admitted she could easily fall in love with a woman.

She said: “Of course. There are no rules or limits when it comes to love. But I see love as separate from sex.”
