Another track from Ke$ha’s album hits the web. Cannibal is the title and its the album title track of her album re-release. Fresh off her debut at #1 on the Bilboard Hot 100, this song in comparison is a let down to me… but she didnt forget to incorporate her howling from Tik Tok to make it a hit.

When Ke$ha dissed Britney Spears a few weeks ago, there was a huge hoo haa on her lip-syncing comment. (read more here). Then more heat was generated when a demo that Ke$ha recorded bitching Britney leaked. The song in question is Styrofoam.

In an interview with Ke$ha in Australia, she was caught of guard with the Britney question. She crarified the situation by say:

“OK the song ‘Styrofoam’, just to clarify, I didn’t write that bit. That song is from when I was fifteen, and there is a reason that song is not on my record [Animal]. So um, I have to admit, now, I do regret even singing that, because I have mad respect for her, but at the time I was fifteen and didn’t really have the balls not to sing it. I mean that is why it’s not on my record, because I can’t really stand behind it.”

I guess with all the online attacks that she has been getting, best to do some damage control by saying nice nice things… haha!

Rebel Ke$ha has nothing nice to say about Miss Britney Spears. The ‘Blah Blah Blah‘ singer blah-ed Britney for lip-syncing during her ‘Circus‘ tour.

She said:

“I think that’s bulls***,” she said. “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance.

“If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans.

“No offense to her specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime.

“It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don’t want to treat my fans like they are stupid.

“That is my take on my fans and life in general. My whole record is super-honest. I am really honest. When I am singing I may sound s*** sometimes but at least you’ll know I’m singing.”

Amen to that sista! I mean we all know it’s not easy for Britney to sing live let alone sing and dance at the same time. So i guess lipping is the only way to go for her…

Since Katy Perry came out with her debut album, “One Of The Boys“, two years ago, she shocked the world with songs like “You’re So Gay” and “I Kissed A Girl“. And then she went on storming the charts with her hit “Hot and Cold“.

From then till now, new acts like Ke$ha and Lady GaGa have emerged and have changed the whole music scene. With this big change, it may risk Miss Perry of being a one-album-wonder. And nobody knows that better than Katy herself, and during a new interview with Nylon she said she’s ready to switch things up to stay relevant.

“You’ve got Lady Gaga, who’s like, from outer space; you’ve got Ke$ha, who’s the beer-drinking, house-party girl; and then you’ve got Rihanna, who’s transforming the urban world into her own outer space,” she explains. “But I feel like you’re missing an Alanis Morissette, 2010. I love how she was a voice for a lot of people who couldn’t explain their feelings. But it’s not like I’m not gonna compete. I love a good dose of healthy competition. It’s not going to be the same thing that they’re doing.”

“Sometimes I feel like I’m more of a Taylor Swift. She tells stories, and I think that’s what resonated with a lot of people.”

“Some of the kid shit I’ve grown out of completely,” Perry announces. “I feel like when I explain my transition visually, people understand. I’m taking it out of the Shirley Temple, Betty Boop, Lichtenstein kind of thing. It’s still fun, but it’s a bit darker. It’s not as annoying. Sometimes I feel like a big strawberry with a face on it. If you do something over and over again it’s like Chinese water torture. If it hits your head enough times, you want to die. You have to just evolve.”

The Hot and Cold singer will be out with a new album this summer and she describes her album as “a roller-disco ‘Lovefool’ by the Cardigans meets ‘I Saw the Sign’ by Ace of Base.”
