Alphabeat- The Spell (Album Cover)

I’m really addicted to Alphabeat lately. Their sound is mainly retro 80’s melodic pop, with distinctive overlay of male and female harmonies. It’s Euro-pop meets new wave.

As the supporting act for Lady Gaga on her UK leg of The Monster Ball Tour in February and March 2010, I’m sure they’ll be big in no time. Even Lady Gaga herself has expressed love for them. Here’s a mash-up of “Telephone” and “Bad Romance” which they’ve covered themselves. It’s a different take on both songs, definitely a euro-pop sound. Not as epic as the original, but it’s great. Hole In My Heart is the second single taken of Danish group Alphabeat’s album The Spell.

I kinda expected more from the video, considering the music video for single The Spell really went well for me.
I also prefered the previous single, as compared to this.

The video, however,  ain’t that bad apart from a few rather uh, fake animations, but could have been better,  the song is still a catchy one, loving the electronic beats of the song.
