Update: [Jan 7, 2010] This just in, Ke$sha will debut at #1 in the US next week…

Ke$ha (pronouced as Cash-ha)’s debut album, “Animal” is out today! With all the hype about her, i think she will make it big and debut at number #1. Why not, right?? She’s only 22 and she broke the US download record with her debut single, “Tik Tok“! She sold over 610,000 tracks in one week. The most tracks ever by any artist.

The previous record holder is by Flo-rida with “Right Round“; which has her singing the hook! It means she beat her own record.. lol! how ironic isn’t it.

This makes her #1 for the second week running on the Billboard Hot 100! And she has the first #1 of the new decade!

p/s she’s the newest artists i’m intrigued by since Lady Gaga.

I don’t think she will debut THAT big. her album has leaked already and she Ke$ha only has a hit single… but her album while it does have some really fun tracks in there is pretty asinine. Besides, I don’t see longevity… she doesn’t have enough finesse. Good luck to her though cause I like Tik Tok, Your love is my drug,

@bad boy… you’re right she wont debut that big… but yes, it announced that Ke$ha will be #1 in the US next week selling around 105-115k… at least she killed susan boyle’s reign at number #1
