Track Review: Lady Gaga – Reloaded (Feat. Darkchild)
Well well, it seems that “Telephone” is not the only song that Lady Gaga has with Rodney Jerkins (or Darkchild, whichever is more familar to you). Here we have “Reloaded“, which Darkchild provides guest vocals too. I’ve a feeling that this song is an outtake from The Fame Monster sessions.
This song could fit in TFM, but the song leans a little more to the R&B/Hip-Hop side, hence I could understand why it was omitted. Perhaps this would spark Lady G (I prefer calling her GodGa, a new title given by her little monsters) into experimenting Electro with R&B. The clash beats is quite Timbaland-ish though. No doubt Darkchild can conjure up a hit just like that. The chorus gets stuck in my head on the first listen though. Hmm, this ain’t single material though, but not a filler either. So it fares between as an album track or a B-Side. Acceptable.
When you said Hip Hop i almost did not want to DL this but this track is actually pretty stellar. i would say its more rock. Is it just me or is there a hint Prince’s “Doves cry” in there? this would have fit well with The Fame Monster. it’s a mystery to my why it wasn’t. It’s better than Teeth.
This song defintely deserves to be on some proper release, not just a leak. This is up there with one of my fave Gaga songs of all time. Haunting vocal style, sung very much like Prince does in “When Doves Cry.”
5 stars and it could have easily replaced a song or 2 on the fame monster and it could have even more easily been added as the 9th song on TFM!
