Certainly, Miss Cheryl Cole has been garnering enough attention for her new single, ‘Fight For This Love‘ to be released on Monday (October 19). She’s generous enough to include a new B-Side to her CD single. It’s titled ‘Didn’t I‘ and it’s surprisingly a syrupy ballad that bears us in mind into some previous Girls Aloud songs.
The piano-induced ballad sounds alot like ‘History’ a former B-side from the girls’ single ‘Wake Me Up’. It’s excruciatingly sweet ballad with the song sounding a bit stronger than some of the songs from her debut LP, ‘3 Words’. Like ‘FFTL’, ‘Didn’t I’ sounds a bit cliche lyrically. It’s quite different from ‘Fight For This Love’ musically but it’s tenderness combined with Cole’s intricate bit-soulful vocals captures the heart of the song. It’s kind of the closest resemblance of Cole’s impression on GA in the album which drops a week after the release of ‘Fight For This Love’. And don’t forget to watch her pre-recorded performance of ‘FFTL’ on the X-Factor Sunday.
