UK Charts Review: Chipmunk scores up #1, The Saturdays ends up at #2

British electro-hip hop artist Chipmunk scores his first ever UK #1 with his absolutely catchy tune, ‘Oopsy Daisy‘. It spent its first week at #1 defeating girl group, The Saturdays as they ended up at #2 with their latest hit, “Forever Is Over“.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys dipped a notch at #3 with ‘Empire State of Mind’ while last week’s #1 Taio Cruz drops 3 places to settle at #4 this week with ‘Break Your Heart’.

Australian rockers Temper Trap improved their position from last week as they ascend to #6 with ‘Sweet Disposition’.

Daughtry enters the top 20 in the UK for the first time as his hit ‘What About Now’ suddenly enters at #11 due to X-Factor playing the song on montage scenes.

Another highlight of the charts is Miss Whitney Houston’s comeback single ‘Million Dollar Bill’ debuting at an impressive #12 this week. She could’ve had a higher position don’t she?

Jordin Sparks further ascend to #15 with ‘S.O.S’ while Tinchy jumps to #14 with ‘You’re Not Alone’. Kings of Leon holds on tight with their former #1 hit ‘Sex On Fire’ which stays put at #16.

In the albums chart, Barbra Streisand dominated Madonna this week with her ‘Love Is The Answer‘ LP jumping from #4 to #1 beating off Madonna’s ‘Celebration‘.
