Britney Spears is out with a new lead single for her upcoming greatest hits album called The Singles Collection. The lead track is simply called 3! In this song she proves that she knows how to count her 1-2-3s… HAHA. kidding! Anyways, this track is produced by Max Martin, the same dude you gave u the dirrty “If U Seek Amy“. 3 is not short of any dirrty hints. The chorus sounds like a threesome waiting to happen!

1-2-3 not only you and me
Got 180 degrees
And I’m caught in between
Counting 1-2-3 feed upon that three
Getting down with repeat
Everybody loves ohhhhh

After 3 listens, i still can’t get a hang of the track. Gimme More and Womanizer are better lead singles in my opinion.

While Womanizer might be catchier mainstream wise…you give me a Max Martin-produced Britney track any day and I am happy.
They are perfect together, he gets her and I love the naughty turn he’s tkaen her with his latest songs for her.
The bridge is definitely the highlight of the track and it’s funny how it has shades of Brave New Girl in the melody of the verse to me. But overall I am loving it (though I admit, the Britney fan in me makes it inherent.)

Even I love me some Britney at times, this sounds like a rejected song for a B-side. An ugly mess, doesn’t even worth being called as hot mess. Her already fragile vocals glides on thin ice. The chorus is an irritating wreck that makes my ears bleeds. The verses are no better off. 3 is a charm??? Such a ear-sore. Very nursery rhyme like though.

The starting clap beats sounds like the intro for Patron Tequila/Hey Girl (Keri Hilson), which makes it a cheap rip-off.

I rarely slam a song this bad. This is my first I guess. Any other bonus tracks for Circus is superior compared to this song. Bad Bad choice. Sigh.

i actually like this song and the same with the max martin production. He definitely knows how to produce quality britney all the time! KYLE you are totally right about the the brave new girl similarity/ sounds similar to something madonna would do?

although the subject matter is just mainly for shock and awe, hearing britney’s catty come-on’s is worth the lack of lyrical substance…. then again what is on the radio these days?

there is no other singer like Britney Spears, she can dance well, sing well and she has a great stage performance.
