Like finally!!! This is something good. Didn’t like her in the first place. Vocals are so rough that she murdered “Red Dress” when the label release her version with the babes as a single. She’s like the jinx of the group, subsequent releases with Amelle proves to be a flop. And there are news about her involving legal issues and bad press.

I just don’t know why her voice is so prominent on the “Change” and “Catfights and Spotlights” era. As if she’s the leader of the group. Sheesh. To me, the Sugababes are in top form when Mutya is in the group. From “Angels with Dirty Faces” to “Taller in More Ways“.

It also has been confirmed that Jade Ewen is set to replace her, joining the babes’ roster. If her name sounds familar, it’s because she represented UK for this year’s EuroVision Song Contest. And she came in 5th. Judging from her vocals, she has proven herself to be a competent singer, unlike Amelle. She also has been nominated for “Best British Newcomer” award at the MOBO Awards (similar to the BET Awards).

Jade also co-wrote the song “A Little Bit” on the album Boogie 2 nite for the Booty Luv. Proving that she can write songs too. Which is good. I’m all for this girl to replace Amelle. Jade’s 21 btw.

Amelle would most likely would go solo, as she had a number 1 hit with Tinchy Stryder. Think she’ll go with the ‘hooker’ route, like “Get Sexy“. No offence. Sugababes is a Class act, they shouldn’t degrade themselves as they’re past singles are filled with excellent lyrics and catchy hooks.
