A new girl group from the UK, what a weird name. Girls Can’t Catch (GCC) has 3 members, Daizy, Jess and Phoebe, and is signed to Facination/Polydor, which houses both Girls Aloud and The Saturdays. What’s with releasing similar girl bands on the same company anyway. Not much info on them yet, there isn’t a wiki post about them too. =(

Keep Your Head Up is available on iTunes since Aug 3rd. Didn’t really like it in the beginning, but it grows on me. A lite version of the Saturdays, in my opinion.

While on the other hand, b-side to this single, Stop, is also a cool electropop tune co-written by Phoebe from the group. With the pulsating beats and a heavy dose of synth, it excites me. This song is about the dangers of dating a bad boy.

As the chorus goes, “Don’t you go thinking he’ll ever change,” “Whatever you tell him he’ll stay the same.” and end it with “So when he tries to order you around, you gotta say stop, Stop, STop, STOP!”.

With Girls Aloud on hiatus and the Sugababes ‘migrating’ to a more US sound, GCC might strike gold on the charts. Oh, and not forgetting The Saturdays. (The single edit of “Work” is crap, prefers the album version btw)
