“Get Sexy” is to be released as the lead single from the Sugababes‘ upcoming seventh studio album. The single would be released as a digital download on 16 August 2009 and physically released on 31 August 2009 in the UK.

The single premiered on BBC Radio 1’s The Scott Mills Show on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Sugababes revealed that the song was produced by up-and-coming team The Smeezingtons, who have also worked with X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke on her upcoming debut album.

No, I do not like this song at all. Lyrics is kinda like grade school standard. The girls always have uber cool lyrics to pair up with top notch production. Not good. It’s like they’re trying hard to be sexy. And the chorus sounds so trashy. Where have the sassy Sugababes been to???

I love the girls since “Overload“, and they hit the jackpot with “Freak Like Me” and “Round Round” till Mutya left in “Taller in More Ways” era. Everything seems to go downhill after that. Lackluster hits. Hopefully other tracks from this album would save them from this leftover sounding nonsense.
