Here’s the 3rd part of the mid-year report card 2009 series. As we all know, remixes are usually being produced in another manner, particularly dance remixes especially. Below are my top 5 picks for the song remixes that is being released in the first half of 2009.
1. Utada – Come Back To Me (Remixes)
Both Tony Moran & Warren and Seamus Haji & Paul Emanuel club mixes are great!!! Good stuff comes in pairs. Right??? =)
2. Freemasons [Feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor] – Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)
The full length club mix is rather epic in my opnion. Disco House always works on the dance floor.
3. La Roux – Bulletproof (Remixes)
Already a very good track by itself, both the Zinc and Foamo remixes adds more angst it.
4. David Guetta [Feat. Kelly Rowland] – When Love Takes Over
At first, I thought that Kelly was yelling at the way in this song. On second thought, it aint half bad as I could feel the raw emotion emitting out from Kelly.
5. Kat DeLuna – Dance Bailalo (Remixes)
I know this is fresh off the oven, but it’s begging to be play at full volume. “Whine up” and “Unstoppable” is so yesterday. Sampling the song “Magalenha” from Sérgio Mendes, it has a latin vibe to it. While the original edit was flat, the Jason Nevins and Catalyst remix amped it up for the clubs.
So, what are your fave singles for the first half of 2009??
Any worthy remixes that I’ve missed?? Feel free to comment and discuss. =)
